N03 TANKER J56 BRAKES 1OF1 TUXEDO BLACK WHITE INTERIOR KNOCK-OFF TRIPLE DIAMOND
This 1964 Corvette Fuel Injected Tanker with factory J56 brake option is 1 0f 3 cars believed to come out of Guaranty Chevrolet of San Diego California. This is the only known example finished in Tuxedo Black with White Leather interior with these options. Factory options include The J56 Brake package included a special Dual reservoir Brake Master Cylinder and Special Metallic Brake Pads, L84 Fuel Injected engine, F40 Special Suspension, K66 Transistorized ignition system, N03 36 1/2Gallon Fuel Tank, M20 Manual Transmission, N11 Off Rad Exhaust System, P48 Cast Aluminum Knock off wheels, T86 Backup Lights, U69 am/FM Radio, G81 Posi traction Rear Axle with 3:70 Ratio, A01 Tinted Glass. This Big Brake Tanker had made its way to Kentucky and was purchased by Dick Ferrando of D&A Corvette in Gillespie Illinois. Dick is one of the most respected corvette restorers in the country and purchased this Tanker for himself to restore to add to his special collection. Dick would go on to restore his Tanker to Concours condition before selling the car to Collector Mike Johnson of New Mexico who is a Tanker and rare corvette collector. Mike would go on to take the corvette out of the national Judging Circuit and Archive National and Regional Top Flight Awards under his ownership. Mike decided it was time to let the J56 Tanker go in 2023 when Joe Verrillo of Verrillo Motor Car in Clifton park NY purchased the Corvette. Joe Would go on to achieve a Bloomington Gold award and NCRS Regional Top Flight award at the NCRS Northeast Regional Meet in Marlboro Massachusetts.
